Regional Partnerships

  • IATA global infrastructure activity coordinates with ICAO Montreal HQ, FAA, Eurocontrol, and all of IATA Regional Offices, SO&I to ensure a single global infrastructure strategy is maintained.
  • IATA represents Member airlines' interests with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on oceanic systems and procedures.
IATA's joint effort with the FAA on Reduced Vertical Separation Minima (RVSM) has led to additional airspace capacity in the West Atlantic, resulting in fewer delays for passengers and less fuel burn for airlines.
  • IATA works closely with the Air Transport Association of America (ATA) on domestic operational and technical issues.
  • IATA's participation in NavCanada's Air Transport Operations Consultative Committee (ATOCC) has permitted IATA to pursue a number of operational issues with significant potential benefit to Member airlines flying in or through Canadian airspace.
