Regional Airports Steering Group (RASGs) are multi-discipline airline groups, formed of airline and IATA personnel, covering airport facilities planning, user charges, scheduling and flight operation disciplines within specific regions of the world.
The group's objective is to review airport development activity in the region and to develop a work plan for Airport Consultative Committee (ACC) & Technical Mission interventions. So far, Steering Groups have already been established for Europe and Asia/Pacific.
RASGs assist Regional Co-ordinating Groups (RCGs) in carrying out their work with regard to the operations (runway/taxiway), apron/terminal and surface access components of airports.
RASG participation
Membership is open to airline members involved in airport planning, user charges, scheduling and flight operations. Representatives from other IATA disciplines, including but not limited to security, facilitation, environment , can also be called upon to provide guidance on an as and when required basis.
Meetings are held annually, under IATA coordination. The chair is taken by an elected airline member who sits for four consecutive meetings.
