IATA Loyalty Work Group

At the IATA Commercial Strategy Symposium in Athens late 2007, loyalty experts from the airline industry raised an interest to set up a workgroup for loyalty and loyalty programmes.

The objective of this workgroup is to set the agenda for future growth and expansion of this part of the airline business and be an innovative think-tank in this field with IATA’s support. In May 2008, IATA organized its first loyalty workgroup that was attended by experts from both the airlines and technology suppliers.

How it works

The IATA loyalty workgroup meets twice a year based on a pre-defined agenda that IATA sets together with the airlines associated with this workgroup.  Each member receives written notice and a final agenda for each meeting at least 30 days in advance of the date. A summary report of the meeting is also sent to all attendees.

Membership

The IATA loyalty workgroup is driven by experts from both the airlines and technology solutions suppliers who are members of the IATA Strategic Partnerships programme.
