Air Traffic Management


ATM_cns (Air Traffic Management – communications, navigation and surveillance) is a term, proposed by IATA, and now increasingly adopted globally, to emphasize that the future of aviation should be driven within a structured, and globally harmonized air traffic management framework, supported – but not driven – by cost-effective communications, navigation, and surveillance tools. 

 

Over the last years, thanks to the considerable efforts made jointly by IATA, its member Airlines and the Air Transport Action Group (ATAG), saw the development of a strategy for future ATM development: One Sky... Global ATM - the way forward (pdf)
