IATA Rates of Exchange (IROE)


IATA Rates of Exchange (IROE) provides monthly updates of IATA currency rates of exchange used by the industry for fare/rate construction. They are built based on the average of the five banking days ending on the 10th of each month. 

The IROE is available in two formats:

  • The quarterly version is issued as a PDF document with monthly e-mail updates of significant changes. 
  • The Electronic Data File version is delivered monthly and is suitable for loading into systems.

Data for each country is recalculated and issued quarterly:

March: effective for sale: 1 April - 30 June
June: effective for sale 1 July - 30 September
September: effective for sale 1 October - 31 December
December: effective for sale 1 January - 31 March
