For air transport passenger data, statistics, analysis, forecasting, benchmarking and market research, IATA GAIA has three information Modules to provide the insight you need into the air passenger market:
Monthly International Statistics (MIS): This database provides a valuable insight into the development of the aviation industry on a monthly basis. Monthly International Statistics which also includes Route Tracker data has the following modular structure:
- Industry Data offers monthly international traffic and capacity data by region with historic data from January 1991 onwards.
- Airline Data offers monthly international traffic and capacity data by airline with historic data from January 1990 onwards.
- Route Data (Route Tracker) offers passenger and freight traffic and capacity by key seven regional routes: Europe-Far East, Within Europe, Within Far East, North Atlantic, Europe-Middle East, North and Mid Pacific and North America-South America. Historical data is available from 1995 onwards.
- Executive Summary contains links to our two monthly reports Carrier Tracker and Route Tracker (in PDF). These documents provide in depth analysis on key aspects affecting the industry.
World Air Transport Statistics (WATS): This database provides detailed information on vital statistics for IATA's Member Airlines, including passenger and freight traffic. This information is available for more than 200 airlines, featuring employee figures and fleet details. This unique online service offers rapid assessment of industry data as well as providing trend analysis and comparisons across airlines, all of which is sourced from an 17-year archive. WATS data has the following modular structure:
- Traffic Statistics - offers individual airline operational statistics.
- Employee Figures - offers individual airline employee statistics: Pilots, Cabin, Cockpit, Handling, Maintenance, Ticketing.
- Fleet Data - offers individual airline aircraft numbers and utilization (in hours).
- WATS Industry Data - offers International, Domestic, Scheduled, Charter, Total yearly results.
Passenger Forecast 2007-2011: This database provides a comprehensive five-year forecasts of passenger markets at a global, regional and country level , based on IATA's annual survey of forecasting and strategic planning experts from the world's major airlines, airports, manufacturers and civil aviation authorities.
The Passenger Forecast 2007-2011 is based on reports of 2,010 international unduplicated country pairs and 63 domestic country projections. Data has the following modular structure:
- Country to Country Outlook - offers 204 total country projections plus over 2,073 unduplicated country pairs.
- Country to Sub-Region Outlook - offers 1,027 country to subregion pairs.
- Sub-Region Outlook - offers 17 world sub-region pairs.
- Region Outlook - offers 6 world regions projections.
- Global Outlook
