I am very pleased to invite you to the 64 th IATA Annual General Meeting and World Air Transport Summit, to be held in Istanbul from 1 to 3 June 2008, hosted by Turkish Airlines.

The industry has shown that it can drive greater efficiency and Simplify the Business. It has also raised the bar on safety by embracing new standards of operational performance. And we are regaining leadership and credibility on environmental issues as we address the challenges of climate change.

All of these issues and more will be on our agenda in Istanbul. Meanwhile, the world around us continues to change with economic growth slowing and the US-EU first stage agreement being implemented.
